Effective September 21, 2026
FieldCert (“FieldCert,” “we,” “us”) provides software that lets property inspectors create, manage, and generate 4-Point, Wind Mitigation, and Home Inspection reports. This policy explains what information we collect through the FieldCert app, how we use it, and who we share it with.
This policy covers FieldCert account holders (inspectors and their companies). Report content — property addresses, client names, and inspection findings — is data you collect about your own clients in the course of your business; we process it on your behalf to provide the service.
Account information: your email address and password (handled by our authentication provider) — or, if you choose to sign in with Google, the name and email address on your Google account — and any company profile details you add — company name, logo, license information, and inspector signature.
Report data: the property addresses, client names, inspection answers, comments, and photos you enter while completing a report.
Photos: images you upload or capture while completing a report, stored so they can appear in your reports and PDFs.
Billing information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe — FieldCert does not receive or store your full card number.
Usage information: basic technical information (like error logs) generated automatically when you use the app, used to diagnose problems. We also measure visits to our website — which pages are viewed, the referring site, and the browser, device type, and approximate country — using privacy-friendly analytics. It doesn't use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.
We don't sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run FieldCert, each acting under its own privacy and security commitments:
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of FieldCert, our users, or others.
We keep your account and report data for as long as your account is active. Deleting a report marks it for removal rather than erasing it immediately, which gives you a window to recover it if that was a mistake, after which it is permanently deleted. You can request full deletion of your account and its data at any time by contacting us.
Report data is isolated per account — our database access rules are written so one inspector's reports, clients, and photos are never readable by another account. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) for all traffic to and from FieldCert.
You can access, correct, export, or delete your account information and report data at any time from within the app, or by contacting us directly. If you're located somewhere with specific data protection rights (such as the EU/UK or California), those rights apply to you as provided by applicable law.
FieldCert is a business tool for licensed property inspectors and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children.
We may update this policy as FieldCert changes. If we make a material change, we'll notify active account holders (e.g. by email) before it takes effect.
